Day 1: Airport – Hell-Bourg (Meals: B-D; transport: 1h)
You are just 50 km from your planned stop in Hell-Bourg. Take your time and enjoy the beauty scattered along this charming route. The road winds gradually through verdant, water-laden cliffs, fed by numerous waterfalls. Don’t miss the must-see stop at the Voile de la Mariée and be sure to pause at the impressive Cascade Blanche. You will also have the opportunity to stroll through the quaint streets of the village.
Day 2: Hike of your choice at Hell-Bourg (Meals: B–; walking time depending on the chosen hike)
After a delicious breakfast, set off on an adventure and enjoy a wonderful hike of your choice. Depending on your preferences, several trails are available. Select the one that appeals most to you and savour this full immersion in the heart of unspoilt nature.
Option 1 – A spectacular walk through the Bélouve forest to the Trou de Fer
Option 2 – A charming loop walk to Manouilh source
Option 3 – The fabulous Three Waterfalls hiking trail
Day 3: Hell-Bourg – Col des Bœufs – La Nouvelle (Cirque de Mafate) (Meals: B-D; 50-minute walk; +350 m and -750 m elevation gain; difficulty level ++)
Your driver will drop you at the Col des Bœufs car park early in the morning for a wonderful half-day hike to start your adventure.
Day 4: La Nouvelle – Marla (Meals: B-D; 4-hour walk, +660 m and -460 m elevation gain; difficulty level ++)
After crossing the Plaine des Sables, gradually descend via a few steps to reach the Trois Roches site, celebrated by many hikers for its beauty. Here, the Galets River disappears into a dramatic ravine, offering a stunning view of the waterfall. The trail then winds through this striking volcanic landscape before arriving at the charming village of Marla, nestled below the Three Salazes.
Day 5: Marla – Col du Taïbit – Cilaos (Meals: B-D; 6-hour walk; +770 m and -1190m elevation gain; difficulty level +++)
Starting the day with the ascent of the Col du Taïbit gives you a great warm-up. The panoramic view from the summit is simply breathtaking as you leave the Mafate cirque and enter the Cilaos cirque. Two completely different landscapes, reflecting the many sites that showcase the richness and diversity of Réunion Island. A delightful descent awaits you through this beautiful forest…
Day 6: Cilaos (Meals: B-D; transport: 1h 20 min)
Cilaos offers authenticity and the chance to immerse yourself in incredible, untouched nature. Discover its peaks and mountains, and admire its breathtaking cliffs and escarpments. The ascent of Piton des Neiges is a formidable challenge. From Cilaos, a variety of hikes are possible, depending on your interests and abilities. If you prefer to take a break from hiking and enjoy the charms of this lovely village, numerous visits and activities can also be arranged.

Day 7: Cilaos – Saint-Pierre (Meals: B–; transport: 1h 30 min)
A car transfer to the town of Saint-Pierre allows you to fully appreciate the majesty of this winding road with its 400 hairpin bends, connecting Cilaos to Saint Philippe — truly a spectacular journey!
Day 8 : Saint-Pierre – Le Volcan – Saint Pierre (Meals: –D; transport: 1h 30 min )
Your early departure, after a hearty breakfast, is rewarded with the discovery of the extraordinary Piton de la Fournaise, one of the most active volcanoes in the world! Why not make a stop along the way at Nez de Bœuf? Here, an impressive panorama of the Rivière des Remparts canyon awaits… a truly breathtaking sight! Next, explore the Commerson Crater and savour the lunar-like, desert landscapes of the Plaine des Sables. From Pas de Bellecombe, be captivated by the incredible views of the caldera and the Dolomieu Crater…

Day 9: The Wild South (Meals: B-D; transport: 1h 45 min)
The bustling port town of Saint-Pierre and its surroundings await, offering a colourful immersion into Réunion Island life. Soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the town centre, stroll through its open-air markets, along the beaches, and around its stunning lagoons. Be enchanted by the Hindu temple, experience a unique visit to the fishing village of Terre Sainte, and marvel at the colourful, picturesque Creole houses that are so typical of Réunion and its unique charm. You may also choose to explore the dramatic sites of Cap Méchant, the Langevin River, or the Grand Galet Waterfall.
Day 10: Saint Pierre – Les Makes (Meals: B-D; transport: 1h 45 min)
L’Étang-Salé les Bains and its Gouffre will amaze you with a long natural corridor carved from black volcanic rock. This spectacular display of the raging sea, along with the island’s largest black sand beach, invites you to relax in a dramatic setting. Afterwards, head towards Saint-Leu and enjoy a stop at the Souffleur. This fascinating natural feature allows you to see water rushing into an underwater volcanic cave.
Day 11: Les Makes – Saint-Gilles (Meals: B-D; transport: 1h 45 min)
Continue exploring this remarkable island at your own pace. Take this cultural immersion as an opportunity to learn more about Réunion’s heritage. Be captivated by the island’s sugar history and the story of Bourbon, marvel at its endemic plants, and watch the marine turtles with curiosity and wonder.
Days 12 & 13: The West Coast (Meals: B–; transport: none)
The island’s west coast is full of beauty and surprises. Its stunning beaches invite you to enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation. The welcoming, dreamy atmosphere is perfect for unwinding and escaping daily life. Moreover, the wide range of activities on offer makes your stay on this wonderful part of the island even more unforgettable. Take a break on the island’s stunning beaches and lagoons. Stroll through the colourful, bustling market and simply let your desires guide you.

Day 14: La Saline les Hauts – Roland Garros Airport (Meals: B–; transport: 1 h)
Visit the historic centre of Saint-Denis and be sure not to miss Rue de Paris, with its colonial remnants. On the way to Saint-Denis, a final free cultural stop is a must: the Lazaret of La Grande Chaloupe in La Possession. Here, you can see the remains of the landing and quarantine site where indentured slaves were held before being assigned to plantations.
