A few words about carbon offsetting
Travelling without impacting life, the earth and mankind is not possible. As soon as we breathe, we impact living things. The question, then, is not how not to affect our environment, but rather how best to make the most of this impact, to limit the negative consequences and accentuate the positive effects. (
Today, flying is in the crosshairs of many movements for the preservation of the environment, and rightly so. Yet, The impact of a trip is not limited to flight hours. Have you thought about your journeys to the airport, your trips there? What about other factors that involved in your trip such as accommodation, activities, catering, etc.? All of this also influences your carbon footprint. Let’s not even mention the impact of the logistical work required to manage your trip. Have you thought about office maintenance, Internet management, waste sorting, etc.?
For Emotion Planet, it’s important to be aware of the impact of our actions and choices. In addition to the actions we take internally and in our own lives, we also allocate a budget each year for the planting of forests and fruit trees. These projects, on a human scale, are close to our hearts. To offset the carbon footprint of your trip, we invite you to participate by making a donation and/or spending active days in the field. Act in a simple, concrete and human way.
Some things to think about before embarking on your trip:
- be aware, during your trip, that every daily act impacts life;
- travel with an ethical agency committed to sustainable development;
- take steps to reduce your influence on the environment;
- make others aware of the possibilities available to them to reduce their carbon footprint;
- estimate your impact and compensate for it in a way that is fair to you.
Don’t underestimate the positive impact of your trip on all the local players involved.As an Emotion Planet traveler , you are traveling with a clear conscience, informed and within a defined ethical and sustainable framework.
Your positive impact on the living world is more than appreciable .
